Cannot detect microphone

When I plug my microphone in, the popup appears asking which device I plugged in. I select microphone, but still get no audio from it. Checking my audio setup, I don't see my microphone listed anywhere. Can someone help? I'm a streamer, and my webcam audio isn't good enough for my broadcasts. If it helps, I'm using a Zingyou BM-800 microphone, on a 3.5mm audio jack.

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, could you please provide the following information?

 

1- Intel NUC full model:

 

2- Did this configuration work fine before? Is this a brand new Intel® NUC?

 

3- Have you tested the microphone on other computers? What is the outcome?

 

4- For reference purposes, please provide some screenshots showing the "popup" and the "audio setup" where the microphone is not listed:

 

5- Please run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) and attach the report to this thread.

5.1- Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer.

5.2- Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

 

5.3- To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

 

5.4- To attach a file, you must click the “Attach” option on the bottom left-hand corner of the response box.
