Hi everyone!

I am trying to look for the 3D motherboard CAD models for NUC11PAHi7, I think the part number is (NUC11PABi7).

Can anyone help provide this CAD model? I was not able to find it on intel's website.

Thanks,
John

Hello John8611,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

I will proceed to check the issue internally to root the cause of the problem. I will post back soon with more details.

Hi, to provide more information on this:

The NUC11PABi7 motherboard's 3D CAD model is missing from intel's CAD model website:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006820/intel-nuc.html

This is quite urgent as this CAD model is critical to our product development. If this drags on for a long time, we might switch to use something else.

Thank you for helping.

~John

Hi @Jean_Intel ,

I am also looking for the 3D CAD for NUC11PAHi7 motherboard.

I opened a ticket here two weeks ago and nobody follow-up on that, I still don't have the CAD model needed for development.
At this point it is starting to block our internal development progress.

Are there any update on this issues?

Sincerely,
Sam

Hi @Jean_Intel ,

To provide more information, just so happen I am looking for the exact same motherboard 3D CAD model as the post author.

I am looking the motherboard 3D CAD for [Product code:SWNUC11PAHi7000 Model: NUC11PAH],
when I try to follow the official information ,to find the mentioned motherboard 3D CAD [ NUC11PABi7 ],  there is NO 3D CAD model for it. This piece of information is simply missing from the website.

Please fix this and provide the 3D CAD model for it, thanks.

Sincerely,
Sam

Hi everyone,

I am looking into this request and I would like to understand the reason why you need the board drawings (we don't sell NUC11PA boards separately) Is there something specific that you need the drawings for?

Regards,

Ronny G

Hi @Ronny_G_Intel

I think @SamSX might be doing something similar to me as well.

I am currently trying to build a product prototype for a project:
The NUC I am using is:
Product code "SWNUC11PAHi7000"
Product Model "NUC11PAH"

I will need to take out the motherboard to fit it on top of a custom PCB to integrate with my system + custom chassis.

But when I find the mentioned corresponding motherboard 3D CAD model,  there is NO 3D CAD model for it.

@Ronny_G_Intel

I am trying to build a new robot using NUC motherboard (by taking the motherboard out and use it on out custom stuff). Our group's previous version of product uses [Product code: BXNUC10i7FNH1  model: NUC10FNH].

And we are able to follow the information
and get its motherboard 3D CAD, which is [NUC10i7FNB] from Intel webiste.

===============================
But this time for [Product code:SWNUC11PAHi7000 Model: NUC11PAH],  I bought mine from here
when I try to follow the official information ,to find the mentioned motherboard 3D CAD [ NUC11PABi7 ],  there is NO 3D CAD model for it. This piece of information is simply missing from the website.

Please fix this and provide the 3D CAD model for it, thanks.

=====
We are NOT trying to get [Intel® NUC kit Drawings],  we are trying to get [Intel® NUC Board Drawings] 3D motherboard CAD for [Product code:SWNUC11PAHi7000 Model: NUC11PAH], which is [ NUC11PABi7 ].

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Sam

Hi @SamSX thanks for the additional information, as mentioned before we don't provide CAD drawings for boards but I am trying to justify this request so I would like to also hear from @John8611.

John8611, can you also tell me very briefly why you need these CAD files for?

Thanks,

Ronny G

Hi @Ronny_G_Intel , my application scenario is very similar to @SamSX .

We will need the motherboard 3D CAD files to design our own custom drone chassis, in order to integrate to our product.
The dimensions listed in the technical documents are simply insufficient.

1) We will need to remove the entire heat solution and design a custom heatsink on the CNC product chassis.
2) We will need to design a chassis that enclose the NUC motherboard and our other PCBs together.
3) we will need to design a PCB to adapt to the NUC motherboard

Therefore we will need the detailed dimensions in the motherboard 3D CAD, as a reference....
~~
@Ronny_G_Intel:"as mentioned before we don't provide CAD drawings for board"

But other models of NUC already provided their own motherboard's 3D CAD file. Such as the [Product code: BXNUC10i7FNH1 model: NUC10FNH] and its motherboard [NUC10i7FNB] that @SamSX  mentioned.
~
Therefore, it does not really make sense to me that, the NUC model that we are using [Product code:SWNUC11PAHi7000 Model: NUC11PAH], does not have its motherboard  [ NUC11PABi7 ]'s 3D CAD available on the site.

Thanks
~John

Hi @Jean_Intel

Like the others I also require this CAD model to fit it into a robot. If you could send me the model as well, that would be great. My company is also using SolidWorks 2019 SP3.0.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards

Rob

Hi @Jean_Intel ,

I tried opening the files in solidworks, but it always just crash. I passed it to my colleagues to open it, but it seems to just crash as well.

Would you please re-export it in step file, and also provide solidworks formats, and stl file ?

I will give it a try again when I get the new files.

Thank you.

Hello @John8611,

We appreciate your response.

Using SolidWorks should work with no errors. We want to confirm if there is an error message that pops up when you try to open the file. If so, please share a screenshot of the error message received.

We also would like to confirm with @SamSX. Did you experience any similar issues?

Hi @Jean_Intel,

This is the error message that show up when opening the STEP file that you email to us.

John8611_0-1657676738943.png

1) I tried placing it somewhere closer to base of C:\ , and opening it, still same error
2) I tried renaming it to a.STEP,   a.STP,  a.step, a.stp....... still same error
3) I tried rebooting and using combination of 1) and 2), still the same error.

Solidworks version I am using is Solidworks 2019 SP3.0 (required by company).

Please re-export it in step file, and also provide solidworks formats (sldprt + sldasm), and stl file?

Thank you.

~ John

 @Jean_Intel ,

I tried opening the file and encountered the same error. Following what @John8611 did gave the same result as well.
=====

SamSX_0-1657677093319.png

It is in Chinese, but the error is the same (The following file names entered were invalid, not found, locked or of an incompatible type.)

I agree with @John8611  on this, sending the (solidworks format + stl + re-export STEP) to us would just save our time.... Instead of continuing back and worth waiting....

Sincerely,
Sam

Hello @Rob_Robotise,

Thanks for joining in the conversation.

I would like to request more details about the reason why you need the board drawings. Is something specific that you are looking for that requires the board drawings?

Also, you mentioned: "If you could send me the model as well." What do you mean when you say that? Are you looking for the drawings of a specific model?
