Changing Bios Boot Splash Screen

I have an Intel NUC NUC6i5SYK which I got from work. It was originally a streaming device with plexus.tv software.

I managed to wipe the drive and install Windows 10 but now want to put the original bios boot screen on it too.

At the moment it has a custom "plexus" splash screen. I've followed the guides to change the bios splash screen but it will not change. I've both used the update bios (with custom bios with new boot screen) and recovery bios methods.

Is it possible that the bios is locked down? (I've already cleared the passwords by removing the bios security jumper).

Anybody have an ideas?

You may be able to use the VCUST tool:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28900?product=89188

I have not used it to change the splash screen, so you will just have to read the documentation and try.

You're star...that did it. Very odd behaviour though. I couldn't do the normal LOGO command as it wouldn't have it but had to do the BIOS and LOGO command. I'm a Mac user mainly so slowly learning this BIOS business. Thanks again!

Glad it worked.
