Connecting touchscreen using eDP port

I am trying to connect an LCD screen to the NUC7i7DN using the eDP port. I would like to connect to either the B156HAK3.0 or the NV156FHM-A21. I have attached the eDP pinouts for both monitors.

My question is do I just need to make a custom cable and match the net names from the NUC eDP port to the eDP ports on the monitors?

Do I just route the USB signals for the touchscreen to a USB header on the NUC?

Hi AMart141,

I didn't quite understand the question, as you are already aware the pin out reference is available at the TPS, on page 51. the connector is 1X40 eDP connector: I-PEX-20455-040E-12, matching cable should be -I-PEX-20455-XXXT-YYYY, where XXX = number of poles (040T = 40-pin) and YYY = length (0500 = 500 mm)

Keep in mind that Pin 1 designator on board silkscreen is incorrect for the following headers:

USB 2.0, HDMI CEC, Serial Port, SATA Power and eDP. The pinout information and Pin 1 designators in TPS are correct for these headers.

Let me know if this helps.

Ronny G

Yes I was able to get it resolved. It was a pretty dumb question but I am new at this. I was able to build a cable and matched the net names from the monitor to the eDP port and everything worked.
