SZirb, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In order to provide the most accurate assistance, we just wanted to confirm:

When you mentioned that Dell is telling you to do an update, you mean that you are using a Dell software or tool that is showing that message?

Or did you get in contact directly with Dell to get that information?

Also, when you said "your system telling me I'm up to date" what do you mean by that, are you using an Intel® software or tool?

Intel® recommends updating the Intel® WIFI Drivers and Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software to version 21.40 or later.

If practical, update affected software from the system manufacturer’s support site.

Intel® suggets to get in contact directly with the system manufacturer to determine if an updated driver is available. Intel® recommends that end users install driver updates provided by their system manufacturer/provider or via the Windows® Update tool to eliminate impacts that can be caused by loading non-customized drivers. System manufacturers regularly customize Intel® generic drivers to meet the needs of their specific system design. In such cases, use of the Intel® generic driver update is not recommended.

Any questions, please let me know.

Regards,
