Disregard this post: I have found that the problem was due to an idiosyncracy of my hardware setup, and everything appears to be working normally now, using the Intel driver.
I've just completed installing win11 on a new NUC12WSHi7. Everything seems to work when using the windows basic display driver. However, after downloading and installing the Intel dch driver (GFX-Win10_Win11-101.1999.zip), the nuc boots to a black screen with cursor. I have performed all windows updates and used the Intel automatic updater to install all Intel updates including the BIOS. I am using a Dell P3421W monitor and an HDMI cable. I also tried a 2nd monitor with the same result. What is the next step for fixing this problem?
