Hallo from Germany,

I have a new NUC8i7HNK.

I have installed one bank of memory

I have installed an ssd 970 evo plus 1TB

I tried a wireless logitech Keyboard/mouse set

and am old(?) philips 273Eqh with HDMI cable.

I connected an external DVD reader with the windows10 iso content.

The nuc starts, the light of the face appear.

Message "No Video Signal" or "cable problem" on screen.

(two different HDMI calbles)

No action on F2, F4 or F10, and after two minutes the nuc stopps.

Restartet after a short break.

I changed to wired Keyboard and mouse.

Display mentioned thats there is no Video Signal or cable problem (on both sockets?

What is my Problem?

Many thanks in Advance.....

Hello JKlef, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support. In reference to your question, no, a special monitor is not needed to use the NUC, you can use any monitor that complies with the following: Mini-DP 1.2, Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0a: https://ark.intel.com/products/126141/Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC8i7HNK What is the model of the memory RAM? Please provide speed and voltage. Do you have the option to use another monitor/TV? Which video port are you using to connect the monitor? Regards, Alberto R. Hallo Alberto,

many thanks for your interest.

In the meantime I have looked for "my problem" in the postings for the last 8 months.

One advice was, to remount all things from the beginning. I took the memory and the ssd out of the nuc and followed the insstructions.

And the memory board was my problem. It wasn't deep enough in the slot. The "clipping noise" was a little bit more professionell.

And what shall I say. Now it works. The DVD with the win10 iso was detected and the rest ist simple work.

Now i can see these two green lights!!

I am happy with the nuc and have all SW installed and activated.

Many thanks again.
