Driver and Support Assistant - download fails to start

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the DSA, and downloads all fail to start. I have no difficulty with other downloads to the same system default folder (D:\Downloads) with other programs. (I've tried changing the downloads folder properties, and the DSA settings will not save any changes.) See the two attached files.saving settings failed.png

  1. Are you logged as Administrator?
  2. Usually the default path for download directory should be like this: C:\Users\userName\Downloads. Did you wrote this path or was it displayed in this way after browsing to this directory?
  3. Did you tried to save some path to directory in drive C:?

Changing the download folder back to the C: drive fixed the problem. Thank you! (I've been using the D: drive - a much larger SSD - for other programs with no problem.)
