When I run the Intel Driver and Support Assistant it tells me there is a new driver. This is the USB Type C Power Delivery Controller for Windows 10. The installed version is 1.0.2.6 and the new version is 1.0.4.5. When I choose the install option, the driver seems to install and then asks me to restart. When I restart the Driver and Support Assistant then rescans and the new driver hasn't been installed and it tells me there is a new driver.
Any advice much appreciated.

SandS, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.
For this type of scenario, we recommend to un-install the Intel® Driver and Support Assistant using the following tool:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28181/Intel-Driver-Support-Assistant-Uninstaller
Reboot the PC and then install the latest version 3.7.0.8 and run the Intel® Driver and Support Assistant again:

As an option we can try to manually install the driver from our Intel® web site. In the following link you will find the USB Type C Power Delivery Controller driver version 1.0.4.5:

Hi Alberto
I tried the latest version of the Driver and Support Assistant. I also downloaded the driver manually. Again the install doesn't work for me.

Hello SandS,
Can you please confirm that you were not able to manually install the following driver? If not, then the issue is not the Intel® Driver and Support Assistant (IDSA).
Here's the latest version, just in case:
USB Type C Power Delivery Controller for Windows® 10 64-bit for Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i7HNK, NUC8i7HVK
Version: 1.0.4.5
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27721/USB-Type-C-Power-Delivery-Controller-for-Windows-10-64-bit-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC8i7HNK-NUC8i7HVK?product=126143
If you are not able to manually install the driver, please confirm or try the following:
1. Latest BIOS installed.
IDSA should be confirming this information - but please confirm:
For Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i7HVK, BIOS Update [HNKBLi70.86A] Version: 0053 (Latest)
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28458/?product=126143
2. Uninstall the current USB Type C Power Delivery Controller and then try again to manually install the USB Type C Power Delivery Controller above. When reinstalling, right click and run as Administrator.
3. Perform a Clean Boot by disable all Non-Microsoft services (msconfig > Service tab) and disable all Startup tasks (Task Manager > Startup tab) and then try reinstalling the driver. This is to try to eliminate any conflicts.
4. Disconnect all input devices except for a USB keyboard and mouse and monitor and then try reinstalling the driver.
If you still continue to have issues installing the driver, please provide us the following along with all the input devices connected?
Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*
