Error: "Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer." Intel NUC8i5BEH

Recently purchased BOXNUC8i5BEH4. Have downloaded all drivers from Intel site, installed most successfully but not the Intel network driver returns the above error message when attempting to install.

Tried PROWinx64.exe for 64-bit (x64) editions of Windows as it's a 64bit Win 10 Pro OS but still got same error. Have gone to Devices to make sure "Network Adapters" appears (it does but was hidden originally so clicked View -> Show Hidden devices to unhide it, which was strange). Went to BIOS to make sure LAN was ticked as 'on', it was.

Note that lights come on in back of LAN port, cable plugged in works well with another NUC so it's not the connection. Thinking that there's a failure with the internal network card. What else can I do?

Thanks LWAKSMAN, did actually come across that site, and attempted the solutions. But in the Device Manager there is no Intel network device under the Network Adapters item, and actually, Network Adapters doesn't even show up initially, I have to go to View->Show Hidden Devices just to get it to appear.

  1. Did you checked under "Other Devices" category?
  2. Is your network enabled in BIOS?
