Hi,
I am using a NUC system to power and communicate with arduino through the USB port. The NUC is placed in a vehicle. The power to the NUC is supplied with the help of a inverter from 24 V batteries. As we observed the arduino uno board getting damaged we checked the voltage we are getting from the USB port and found more than 6.5 volts. How this can happen and how to avoid this problem of getting higher voltage.

shabaz, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.
In order for us to provide the most accurate assistance on this matter, we just wanted to confirm a few details about your system:
What is the model of the Intel® NUC?
Is this a new Intel® NUC?
When did you purchase it? (For Warranty Purposes)
Was the Intel® NUC working fine with "Arduino" before?
If yes, when did the issue start?
Did you make any recent hardware/software changes that might cause this problem?
How are you detecting that the Intel® NUC provides 6.5 volts through the USB port?
Which Windows* version are you using?
Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment?
Please attach the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":
Any questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Albert R.
