HDMI-CEC broken after BIOS Upgrade

Hi,

I noticed that after upgrading my BIOS from BIO0085 to BIO0087 on my NU8i5BEH the HDMI-CEC not controlling the connected TV anymore (set to utilize on S3/S4/S5 -> S0, and S0 -> S3/S4/S5). Does not matter which HDMI port i do select. HW is brand new, cec was worked as designed with 0085 BIOS.

Current video firmware is confirmed to be v1.77.

Recently read that HDMI firmware (v1.78) was retracted.

Found 1.77.1 BIOS too over the internet, but its not on Intel's site anymore, so i assume there is also an identified issue there.

@intel Support : Was this issue already identified and be fixed in an upcoming BIOS? If not, would this post be sufficient to report the issue?

The problem itself happened right after upgrading the BIOS, so i would not think to be hardware related problem, but pure software. Any way to debug this for you, to help you have more info?

TV connected through HDMI port is UE40MU6122.

Update:

Updated the TV's firmware from 1280 to 1290.3 and looks that the issue got resolved.

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

It is good to hear that you resolved the issue by updating your TV's firmware, thanks for sharing that fix as well.

Based on that, we will close this inquiry from our side. If you need further help, please submit a new post as this one will no longer be monitored by Intel.
