I have a Samsung Galaxy Book 12 and my sound stopped working. Drivers were all checked to see if they were updated, which they were (Intel Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller). Now when I go to devices, there aren't any devices listed under the sound and audio section. Everything is gone. How can I reinstall this? I have restarted my computer to see if Windows Update will catch it, but it won't.

Hello ABrid2,
Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities.
Based on the information that you have provided and since the update could affect the performance of the driver, I was able to find this article that could be helpful to solve this sound error:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/windows-10-audio-stops-working-after-installing/5a541c88-89e1-4bf3-b356-2837d564b109?page=2
Note: Please be aware that the content on that site is not controlled by Intel. This information is offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel for the merchants or services offered there.
Even though the issue could be related to the Intel® Smart Sound Technology, the behavior of the driver will depend on the system sound hardware set up and also on the operating system, so I would recommend you to doublecheck this information with the system manufacturer, since they could recommend you to check on BIOS settings and other specific customizations made by the system manufacturer.

I have already tried this. Windows does not reinstall anything nor does the Intel sound device show up in the device manager list.

Hello ABrid2,
Thank you for sharing the updates.
In this case, our best recommendation would be to contact the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and request further support with BIOS settings and troubleshooting the sound drivers (not only Intel), since I was able to see on the driver package of your notebook support website that there are audio drivers for a Realtek High Definition Audio Service (shown as RtkAudioService64) so they can provide you with more troubleshooting for your specific set up.
Here is the link where you can get the information and drivers about the Samsung Galaxy Book 12:
