How do I use my Intel NUC5CPYH without monitor?

I have some scripts, which I have kept in .profile. When I start the Intel NUC (with monitor connected) everything works fine. Now, if I start NUC without monitor scripts won't get start until I connect the monitor. So I want to run all scripts(python, c) without monitor. Need help to get this thing working. Thank you.

Note: Ubuntu 16.04 is installed on NUC5CPYH

Hello SPada2

Thank you for posting in the Intel Community.

The Intel® NUC Kit NUC5CPYH does not have the BIOS feature for Display Emulation, you can verify this information in "What is Display Emulation and How Do you Enable it on Intel® NUC products?"(refer to Related Products), never the less I have found the thread: "Intel NUC8i5BEH2 Randomly freeze" in which there is similar behavior to run the Intel® NUC headless.

Since the scripts won't get started when running the Intel® NUC headless, you might try using an HDMI Dummy Plug, Headless Ghost, Display Emulator to check if the issue is directly related to the headless running status. Please keep in mind that this is only a suggestion, it is not mandatory and we are not encouraging you to buy an adapter or device, and we are only suggesting you may try this if you have one handy.

Here is a link with an example of an HDMI Dummy Plug* as a reference:
