  1. Your Windows version is a previously released 1607 Anniversary Update. I suggest that you update is to the latest version 1806 October 2018 Update. Check the pending updates in Windows settings (while connected to Internet).
  2. Download and manually install Graphic Driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28437/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-for-Intel-NU...
  3. I would suggest to download and update all the other drivers and bios: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/126148/Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC8i5BEH
  4. You may download and install Intel Driver & Support Assistant and update your computer with this tool: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

Hope this helps

I also have the same problem using driver and support assistant. Getting an error massage that the driver is not supported by this unit.

Did you try manual installation with the link provided in my previous post?

I solved this by purchasing software Driver easy😁 But i do think that the drivers provided by Intel driver support assistant should really work without any error massages, They are after all manufacture of the Intel NUC.

What you mean by saying "I solved this by purchasing software Driver easy😁" Where did you purchase driver? The Intel drivers are free for download from the link I've provided above. The Intel DSA have some time problems with installation, therefore Intel provided site where you can download any driver. No need to purchase driver.

You can also use the following manual driver update sequence:

  1. Un-install existing legacy Intel Graphics driver. Restart system as requested.
  2. Temporarily re-configure display driver back to "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". Restart as needed.
  3. Launch the exe from the Intel DCH Graphics driver package (6444 or 6471). Restart as requested.

Basically, I discovered that:

  • Legacy Intel Graphics driver --> DCH Intel Graphics driver

doesn't always work (the error reported by multiple people appears), but

  • Legacy Intel Graphics driver --> Microsoft Basic Display Adapter --> DCH Intel Graphics driver

appears to work much more consistently.

I explained in another thread that this has something to do with the DCH Intel Graphics driver having 2-part ID which cannot install over an existing legacy Intel Graphics driver with 4-part ID. The error message is Windows saying you can't replace a 4-part ID driver with a 2-part ID driver by using a driver installer. This is intended functionality of Windows (i.e. by design) and not a bug. The workaround is to get the 4-part ID driver completely uninstalled from the system first, and go through the inbox Microsoft display driver, then the installation of the 2-part DCH driver should proceed successfully.
