Hope this helps
I also have the same problem using driver and support assistant. Getting an error massage that the driver is not supported by this unit.
INTEL® NUC KIT NUC8I5BEH
Intel® Iris® Plus Graphics 655
Installed windows version 1806
I solved this by purchasing software Driver easy😁 But i do think that the drivers provided by Intel driver support assistant should really work without any error massages, They are after all manufacture of the Intel NUC.
What you mean by saying "I solved this by purchasing software Driver easy😁" Where did you purchase driver? The Intel drivers are free for download from the link I've provided above. The Intel DSA have some time problems with installation, therefore Intel provided site where you can download any driver. No need to purchase driver.
You can also use the following manual driver update sequence:
Basically, I discovered that:
doesn't always work (the error reported by multiple people appears), but
appears to work much more consistently.
I explained in another thread that this has something to do with the DCH Intel Graphics driver having 2-part ID which cannot install over an existing legacy Intel Graphics driver with 4-part ID. The error message is Windows saying you can't replace a 4-part ID driver with a 2-part ID driver by using a driver installer. This is intended functionality of Windows (i.e. by design) and not a bug. The workaround is to get the 4-part ID driver completely uninstalled from the system first, and go through the inbox Microsoft display driver, then the installation of the 2-part DCH driver should proceed successfully.
