Hello GBlij,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
- Can you please let us know what is the installation error you get? (you can attach a screenshot to the thread).
- Which browser did you use to download the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant? (Intel® DSA) (Google Chrome, Mozilla, Edge, Internet Explorer)
You can try the following:
- Uninstall the tool by using Intel® Driver & Support Assistant Uninstaller.
- Delete all the log files from the computer.
- Make sure all files related to the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant were deleted and you don't see the app in apps and features on Windows.
- Install Intel® Driver & Support Assistant.

Hello GBlij,
Thank you for the update.
The Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) works fine on Intel products, I can see you have an HP EliteBook Folio 9470m in this case we recommend you to use the scanning tools provided by the system manufacturer because it will use the customized drivers for your computer if an update is needed.
