I have an intel NUC7i7BNK which is overheating. Unit is approximately 2 years old. Is there a solution for this or do I need to junk it?

  1. Try to clean the Thermal Solution and the Cooling Blower from dust. You can do this trough the vent holes using air duster. However to do this correctly, you should remove the motherboard from the case.
  2. Although this tutorial is for NUC5i7RYH, however your NUC has similar construction. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Intel+NUC5i7RYH+Disassembly/98011
  3. See this video also to understand the problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4VQRN8nCpk
