Forgive what may be an elementary newbie question . . when using my 10i7fnh . . there's a flashing icon on the left side of front panel . . I'm assuming it's the CIR sensor, picking up the receivers for my wireless keyboard and mouse . . is that correct and is the icon supposed to keep flashing all the time? Thanks for your help.

I believe that this is the Disk Access LED by default. In BIOS Setup (Visual BIOS), you have control over what functions are assigned to the available LEDs. This is done in the Power parameters section.
Hope this helps,

Indeed it was the HDD Activity LED . . wasn't able to turn it off, but by changing the setting from 'on when active' to 'off when active', flashing icon became solid on . . so definitely less annoying . . truly appreciate your help . . take care.

Hi @elwood55
Enter BIOS, Power > Secondary Power Settings and set the Brightness of the HDD Activity LED to "0" (zero). After saving the settings (F10), this LED will not annoying you any more.
