Install Thunderbolt 3 DCH drivers on NUC8i5BEH. The Intel Instructions are confusing and incomplete

In the BIOS Thunderbolt is activated, the identity is Unique. Intel MEI is not installed by the Intel Drivers and Support app. Lots of how to on the web but the instructions do not apply to Windows 10 Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.815)

My recommendation is to always, always install all driver packages manually right after installing Windows 10. Only once all driver packages have been installed this way should you convert over to IDSA. IDSA is not a panacea.

 

On the downloadcenter.intel.com site, the download page for each NUC provides a way to download a single ZIP file that provides the latest of every recommended driver package. Use this and install all packages that one initial time.
