A few weeks ago (on 24.05. to be exact) I installed Windows 1903 (64 bit) on my NUC6CAYS. The whole thing was a complete reinstallation, not an update.
Since this NUC is located in the living room and is only used for browsing and music or video streams, there is very few software installed. All current drivers are installed.
Besides Windows 10 only the following software is installed:
- Acronis True Image
- G Data Internet Security
- Office 365
- spotify
I have the following entries displayed in the Event Viewer:
The time limit (30000 ms) was reached when trying to connect to the Intel(R) HD Graphics Control Panel Service service.
One minute later then
The time limit (45000 ms) was reached when trying to connect to the Intel(R) HD Graphics Control Panel Service service.
and at the same time
The service "Intel(R) HD Graphics Control Panel Service" was not started due to the following error: The service did not respond in time to the start or control request.
These entries are in the System category, classified as errors.
Note: Since I actually use a Windows 10 with German surface I have translated the entries times after best conscience. I hope I didn't falsify the meaning of the entries.
For the first time the error occurred on May 24, the day of the reinstallation and at a time when only Windows 10 and the drivers and Acronis True Image were installed. So we can exclude other software as cause of error.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get rid of this error?

Hi @Trial-Member
- The DCH driver is not included in this package.
- The latest DCH driver you may download here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28816/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=80939
- If during installation of the DCH driver you will get Warning, telling that this driver is not compatible with your system/computer, uninstall the old driver first, with the Delete option marked (you should see Microsoft Basic Graphics Driver).

Hi,
In both my NUCs (NUC7i7DNHE and NUC8i7HVK), the Intel Graphics Control Panel was not working at all (in 1809 and 1903 Windows versions). I've installed Intel DCH Graphics Driver and got with this driver Intel Graphics Command Center - which is working.

Hi @LWAKSMAN,
Thanks for your reply.
Since I had dowloaded the Drivers from the Intel Download Center (using this package) I had expected to get the latest (and, where available DCH) Drivers.
Am I wrong?
