I have a NEW Intel NUC 8i5BEH4 just 2 weeks old.
i5 8259U. Samsung 970 SSD. 16GB 2666mhz ram.
Windows 10 - 64bit + Kaspersky Antivirus
LATEST updates installed.
LATEST DRIVERS.
LATEST BIOS: BECFL357.86A - 0056
Today 10 minutes after turning on in windows with just these apps open:
Excel, Chrome browser, Spotify.
The system suddenly hibernated then powered on black screen, error:
WARNING: System has recovered from an over-temperature condition.
Check the cooling then press enter...
Why is this happening? I was not pushing the CPU.
I have played games previously and this never happened.
Current temperature stats attached

Hi Leonardo. That is very strange. BIOS settings were default. I have changed the cooling setting in BIOS to "COOL".
Package & CPU temperatures are now averaging 42 degrees celsius or 111 degrees farenheight which is almost 50% less than before under previous bios setting.
I will monitor the situation and if it repeats contact intel

The problem has happened again. Today I was just using: Google Chrome, Spotify.
System went into hibernation for 1 minute then came back with CPU fan on at full speed.
Before hibernation the CPU fan never came on which tells me that either the system did not start the fan or the fan is malfunctioning.
As I said before the BIOS fan mode is set to COOL so it should be turning on.
Look at this screenshot of temperatures VERY HIGH after restore from hibernation
