Intel NUC 8i7BEK Running of a 12-12.7 supply?

I am building a small robot that will be controlled with this. It would make life so much easier. If I could power everything with 12v. It says it has a 19v input but I read here that 12-24v is supported? Can anyone confirm this for the latest model? (That thread is quite old now)

1. I can confirm that according to your NUC specification, it should work when supplied from 12VDC Power Supply. See para. 2.2.4.6 in Technical Product Specification https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/mini-pcs/nuc-kits/NUC8i3BE_NUC8i5BE_NUC8i7BE_TechProdSpec.pdf
2. However 12VDC is very marginal (in my opinion). How the NUC will work if under load condition, the supplied voltage will drop to 11.5VDC or even less?
3. I suggest to you to include in you design DC to DC converter.
