I have a intel nuc 8i7BEK2 with a single 16 GB RAM module and It works perfectly.
I've installed another 16 GB RAM module but the system become inconsistent. It freeze continuosly in both, windows and linux.
I've taken off the old module and the new module works perfectly.
I've updated the latest BIOS version but it doesn't works.
what can I do?
1.While you are testing each module separately, are you checking in both memory slots (i.e. in the lower and the upper slot)? You should test each slot separately to ensure that the problem is not caused by the memory slot.
2. Try to clean the memory slots with compressed air.
NUC should work with one module only in either slot. If you see memory failure (3 LED blinks, On-off (1.0 second each) three times, then 2.5-second pause (off). The pattern repeats until the computer is powered off), means that you have failure in the upper slot.
Try to clean the upper slot with contact cleaner and if not helps, check your warranty coverage to replace your NUC.
