Intel NUC D34010WYK & Noisy Fan/Remove Motherboard

Request for Help/ I have a Intel NUC D34010WYK, I3 processor with 16GB Ram & a 120GB SSD, most of time wil run fairly quiet but when pushed a bit the fan will be very loud.

Can anyone recommend any bios settings that may help or as could anyone advise how to remove the motherboard from the case? please. I have managed to ler the lid off, the base, SSD mounting but the board seems to be held in with a metal band inside the case.

I have tried pushing the board out from various angles but with no success to date, any positive suggestions please & many thanks in advance.

I find it likely that, for a NUC this old, you have crud built up in your blower. You need to remove and clean the blower and blow out anything trapped in the heatsink. Here is a video that shows how to remove the board from the chassis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EPZQUaJozk. Once you have the board removed, there are a couple of small screws that hold the blower in place.

Hope this helps,
