I have a problem with displaying HD graphics on my Intel NUC D54250WYK. Whenever I set the display resolution to 1920x1080 (16:9), parts of the desktop are not visible on screen (the edges, and also the taskbar are outside the visible part of the display). The image is also of poor quality. The same happens when I set the resolution to 1280x720 (16:9), but other screen resolutions seem to be fine (16:10 modus for example).
I am running Linux Mint 17.1 Cinammon 64-bit. Already installed the "Intel(R) Graphics Installer for Linux 1.0.7" from the 01.org site, but no success.
Intel NUX D54250WYK
Intel Core i5-4250U processor with Haswell-ULT integrated graphics controller.
I am using the mini HDMI port.
The problem seems to occur on other displays as well, so the problem is either in the software or in the graphics card.
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem in windows 8.1. My 1920x1080 on my 60 inch plasma gets cut off at the edges. The quality of my picture is fine but the edges are cut off. Any way to fix this?

B0ltThr0wer,
I have this same NUC next to me but it is running Windows 8.1 and using this resolution is working just fine so this definitely is something with the linux driver you are using.

I have a similar problem with Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0b) using linux mint 17.1. It displays the middle part of the screen and not the edges.
Apparently the driver does not properly recognize the screen size. So is Intel just going to tell us it's a linux driver problem, or will they point us in the right direction ?
