I bought an Intel NUC5I3RYH and I need some more details on the M.2 connector: normally it is used to host an SSD, but in my case I was wondering if I could use the standard SATA port for the hard disk and, instead, the M.2 connector to host a M.2 capture card to acquire an HDMI input. On the technical datasheet it is reported "Expansion Capabilities: One M.2 connector supporting M.2 2242, M.2 2260, and M.2 2280 (key type M) modules" but no more information are provided.
Is there something in particular I have to do to make this work?
Any suggest will be particularly appreciated.
Thank you very much,
My understanding is that you can use the PCIe lanes or you can use the SATA lane -- but you cannot use both. You can follow-up with Intel Customer Support if you wish, but this has been asked before and that was the answer.
