Intel NUC M15 laptop specs

ref : BBC510EAU7A01

Hi, i cant find any PDF specs for the above laptop, it raises a few questions:

- Does it come with a PSU

- Does it support optane memory?

- Does it come with an SSD (seems to include memory)

- I assume everything is installed via the underside plate?

The only PDF i can find is here, which doesn't include that part number:

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/intel-nuc/laptop-kit/BC57_EVO_PROD_SPEC.pd...

GRIFFCOMM, I just received an update on this matter.

"Does it come with a PSU?"

After reviewing the case, we can confirm that the laptop once is ready to be shipped by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), they should provide the power cord and power adapter.

"Does it support optane memory?"

The laptop kit does not support Intel® Optane memory.

"Does it come with an SSD (seems to include memory)"

The SSD is included but this is only for EVO systems. All the others do not come with SSD or memory.

So, if any of those parts are missing, then the next thing to do will be to get in contact directly with the place of purchase for them to further assist you with this matter in providing those parts.

> Does it come with a PSU

The PDF says that ALL models come with a PSU.  These PSUs deliver the power through a USB-C port and are still relatively specialized.  I expect the laptop still comes with it.

> Does it support optane memory?

There are no memory slots in these laptops.  Intel decided to solder the chips to the board.  This means you can't use a DIMM slot for Optane.

On the other hand, you should be able to use an Optane SSD in the M.2 slot.  If you choose that path, you'll be rather limited in capacity, unless you get the version that's QLC with a built-in Optane cache.

> Does it come with an SSD (seems to include memory)

The PDF says that all four of the models it describes come with a 512GB M.2 SSD.Ark.intel.com lists an M.2 slot but no SSD.  The model number information lists memory capacity but no SSD capacity.

I believe Intel realized that this was too limiting, and started delivering it with no SSD.

> I assume everything is installed via the underside plate?

Everything?  You mean the single M.2 SSD?  Probably.

In most whitebooks, you select and install the memory, storage and wireless.  In this system, the only option is the storage, which is a single M.2 SSD (PCI-E 4.0 x4).  IMHO, this doesn't allow enough space for integrators to differentiate themselves.

This is a low-end product (max memory configuration 16 GB - how can that be anything except low-end?) with a mid-range price tag.  I'd look elsewhere.
