Intel NUC NUC7i7DNH with Google Coral Dual TPU M.2 AI

Hi All,

I have a NUC7i7DNH ( BLKNUC7i7DNH2E ).

I want to use M.2 E-key slot (currently used for the Wifi card) for a Google Coral Dual TPU M.2 E-Key Card, I have been trying for days in order to get Debian or Windows to recognise the device but I have been unsuccessful.

Is this slot only purely for Wifi cards although it's an M.2 E-Key Slot ?

If the above is yes the slot is for Wifi Cards and cannot work with any other M.2 cards than can I use the other M.2 M-Key slot currently used for SSD using an Adapter ?

I am aware Google Coral uses 2 PCIe x1 lanes and the M-Key has only PCIex4 lane.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.  

I would like to let you know that the M.2 slots are meant only for wireless (Wi-Fi card) and storage (SSD), these slots are not meant for connectivity, meaning that even if you try with an adapter on the slot for the SSD it may not work since the slot was not designed for that purpose.

However, you can try on the SSD slot as a test, but I cannot assure you that will work since the slot is not designed for that purpose and the adapter may be another variable that can interfere with the performance.
