Intel NUC m15 battery life optimisations

EDIT: It seems that there is undervolting options in this laptop, i think with some patience and time tinkering with windows settings and undervolt settings this laptop could be a beast for productivity workflows. What seems that has occurred which is unusual but welcome is that there are undervolting settings via the bios but not unlocked in a software level so i'm going to try that.

Hi i've purchased the new Intel NUC m15 " LAPRC710" With the I7 1260p and 16gb of ram. The battery readings i'm getting is very poor frankly. For regular usage without regarding battery I get around 5-7 hours basically using Chrome and stuff and video conferencing and and 50% brightness. This is regular usage without worrying too much about battery so I went to find how to increase battery life.

This is the Extreme method: With optimised settings basically disabling unnecessary windows telemetry with various debloat tools and preinstalled apps, start up apps and 33% brightness. With only UWP Apps and using the maximum professor state at 25% this slows the laptop a LOT. You can get close to advertised battery life it's estimates 13~ hours battery life. Now what I do recommend is to optimise laptop windows features to use the least amount of resources and set power limit to 99% to disable turbo to increase battery without killing performance. 25% was just to test the battery. What i intend to do now is to either use 99% or 50% max power state for actual usage. From my testing on the settings at 50% power state you roughly get to the same of an i7 1165G7 in Cinebench and that's on battery efficiency power mode, with 50% power state. This laptop is actually a good option you just need to know how to use it.

What I'm asking for intel is to spend more time optimising this machine for battery life. I've found you can really stretch this machine out with tweaks and am hoping for more support to make it perfect!

I'm currently running with the updated drivers and getting around 7 and a half hours battery with power efficiency and uwp apps at 32% brightness and bluetooth enabled, with 100% processor state. I think this is a good result. I checked undervolting and what was available was: p core undervolt offset, gt voltage offset, gtu voltage offset. I'm requsting a feature for all core undervolting or at least providin e core undervolt options. Also what may be a bug? but when specifying undervolt there is no way to input numbers from 7,8,9,0 which is odd. I haven't done an undervolt yet. I'm waiting on Intel for responses on appropriate settings as there isn't any information for this cpu yet. If there is all core feature added this laptop will be perfect, as well as undervolting unlocked in the operating system because throttle stop doesn't work i'm requesting this. As since undervolting is allowed in the bios operating system parity would be better for more granular control as throttlestop is a big feature for laptops! Cheers!
