I would have liked to install Windows Server 2016 on this system unfortunately, Intel only provides drivers for Windows 10; Windows Server is not a supported OS on this NUC. When we tried to install Windows Server 2016 on this system, we were able to boot the Windows 2016 install media from a USB drive but got a “Loading Files” prompt twice and then a blank screen.
For my training/LAB Purpose, I badly need to install Windows Server 2016 trail version.
By mistake without knowing, I have purchased NUC10i7FNH.
Would appreciate it if someone can assist to overcome in this regard. Thanks

I have installed 1607 on NUC10i3FNH and I hope the tips are helpful.
1. Always disable Thunderbolt 3 in BIOS, because it is not compatible with 1607 or earlier.
2. Use CSM instead of UEFI during installation, because UEFI is not compatible with 1703 or earlier. If you need UEFI, you can use MBR2GPT before turning off CSM.
3. You have to modify INF or XML files during installation of Graphics, Wi-Fi, and HDA drivers, and you need to enable test mode and disable integrity checks in 1607. However, you can not install Intel SST driver because 1607 does not support extension INF.
4. HDMI firmware update tool always fails in UEFI mode.

Thanks for your valuable time & feedback,
I followed your instructions.
- disable Thunderbolt 3 in BIOS
- In boot priority "Network Boot" also Disabled (UEFI network boot Automatically Disabled)
- Secure Boot also Disables
Now Windows Server 2006 started installing
But with ended up with the below error:
"Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration. installation cannot proceed".
I have not done any below, should be below done after successful Installation ?......
Driver Installation, modify INF or XML files during the installation of Graphics, Wi-Fi
Thanks

AFAIK, if the error message "Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration. Installation cannot proceed" appears, that means you are trying to install the OS in UEFI mode.
You can not install 1703 or earlier in UEFI mode. So the solution is installing 1607 in CSM mode on an MBR disk. After you finished installation, you can startup your NUC and make sure everything is fine, then you can use MBR2GPT to convert the disk. You need to solve the installation issue before modifying device driver.

When you install Wi-Fi drivers, the installer creates a folder in C:\Windows\Temp. You need to find the folder and copy it to different location before you close the installer. The folder contains setup.xml and Wi-Fi installer, and you can modify the OS minimum requirements in setup.xml.
To install Realtek HDA drivers, you need to modify the OS minimum requirements in hdxsstintel.inf in Win64 folder.
To install Intel graphics drivers, you need to modify the OS minimum requirements in INF files in Graphics folder.
