Intel NUC10i5FNH Ubuntu 16.04 support

Hi,

I tried to install Ubuntu 16.04 in my NUC10i5FNH but I have troubles with graphics, graphic card shows as UNCLAIMED and the only possible resolution is 800x600. I cannot use live version of Ubuntu 16.04 or Ubuntu 18.04, tried both. BIOS is updated.

I know this model is not officially validated by Intel, but I has many NUCs in the past (series 7 and and never had any problem with Ubuntu 16.04.

Any hints?

I have not tried Ubuntu, but I have Debian + Linux Mint running on a NUC10i3FNK. The NUC10i5FNH is very similar, so it should work on a recent version.

10th generation NUCs need at least Linux 5.2 for the Intel video driver, so this means at least Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS.

See the Ubuntu  release-cycle for Linux kernel versions related to Ubuntu versions.

My Debian install report: NUC10i3FNK .

Much easier if you have a desktop.

But . . . Everything?

I needed a quite recent kernel for Wi-Fi.

ah, maybe impossible to reply, because the thread is closed after marking as resolved.

Just checked, WiFi and sound perfectly works. I currently have Ubuntu 18.04.5 with kernel 5.4 (updated).
