Good afternoon.
This is for information. While I am in no particular rush to install the Windows 11 22H2 update, I am not being offered the update when running Windows Update. I was offered it on my HP laptop yesterday evening.
I have found little on it but there is apparently a compatibility issue between Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) drivers and Windows 11 that MAY be causing Microsoft to block the update. Interestingly, Intel SST isn't present in this computer (to my knowledge).

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.
To have a better understanding of your issue, please provide me with the following:
- I want to confirm if you are experiencing issues with your Intel NUC11PHKi7C system, or is it related to your HP laptop?
- Are you looking for information about issues updating to Windows 11?

Good evening,
No, I don't require any assistance. The post was for information only to inform users of the lack of availability of the Windows 11 22H2 update and a potential reason why. For your further information, the 22H2 update is still not showing as available on my system: NUC11PHKi7C with Windows 11 Pro.

I believe Microsoft spaces out the Windows 11 22H2 update. Not sure how. I have multiple PCs all with Windows 11 Pro and it has only been offered on 3 of them so far.

This is correct. Microsoft does a gradual rollout of any update so they can gauge how the update is progressing and if there are any major issues. Usually the full rollout completes in 3 to 6 months. I haven't seen 22H2 on any of my systems as well yet.
Users can force the update by downloading and running the Windows Installation Assistant from Microsoft if you really need it now.

Yes, the 22H2 rollout will take place over several weeks/months. However, according to Microsoft, you should be able to 'force' the update via Windows Update by selecting 'Check for Updates.'
To check if your computer is compatible with Windows 11 22H2, you’ll have to use Windows Registry. Here’s how:
- Press Windows key + R to bring up a Run dialog.
- Type regedit and press Enter.
- In the Registry Editor window, head to Computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows NT > CurrentVersion > AppCompatFlags > TargetVersionUpgradeExperienceIndicators > NI22H2.
- In the right pane, locate and open the RedReason key.
- Check the value. If the displayed value is NONE, your device can run Windows 11 22H2. For any other value, you can’t update to the 22H2 version.

For anyone interested, and as n_scott_pearson reported earlier in this thread. Having not been offered the 22H2 update, I manually updated my Intel NUC11PHKi7 (Intel NUC 11 Enthusiast) without issue and a week later I have zero issues.
