Intel NUC5CPYH - second usb ethernet card problem

Good morning,

I use a lot of mini computers in the company, among others these are the Intel NUC NUC5CPYH and with them is also a problem I can not deal with.

Once in a while, it does not detect the second network card, which is plugged into the USB (TP-LINK USB 3.0 TO GIGABIT ETHERNET ADAPTER (UE300), it was also tested on another Uniteck card). This happens regardless of the conditions and there is no repetition, it is generally very difficult to diagnose. Namely, it looks like that once in a while after turning on the computer (bios schedule), it does not detect the network card - it is not shown in the network connections, the computer restart does not help. The only solution is to unplug it from USB and re-attach it, then it detects it. This happens on 26 computers, this problem does not occur on other NUCs.

Configuration:

Intel NUC NUC5CPYH

Disk 120gb

Ram 8gb

Windows 7 Pro

Hello PMeks,

Thank you for posting on this Intel Community.

We would like gather more information to better assist you.

Please run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) and attach the report to this thread.

1. Download the Intel® System Support Utility and save the application in your computer.

2. Open the application and click "Scan" to see system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

3. To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

Hello PMeks,

We also recommend checking if the USB 3.0 driver is updated. You may also use the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant to check this.
