Intel NUC9i9QNX SD Card Reader not working.

Hello,

I recently bought an Intel NUC 9i9QNX (Ghost Canyon), it is still in the standard condition it was after the purchase. The SD reader does not recognize an SD card, I have tried 10 of them, in the device manager it is only displayed as follows:

Windows Update does not find a suitable driver and the Intel driver download page also has no SD card reader driver in the list.

My BIOS version is up to date and the SD card reader is also activated.

What can i do, to get it working?

Thank you

Hello FranzE,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel® NUC 9 Extreme Kit - NUC9i9QNX.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. Do you see any physical damage to the SD card reader?

2. DId you run all the Windows optional updates?

3. Is the BIOS running on default settings?

Hello Deivid,

the Nuc is still new and I could not find any physical damage, the BIOS is on standard settings and Windows Update does not offer me any further updates, the optional ones have been installed. why is no driver linked by intel?

Have you checked to see if the connectors at the front edge of the Compute Module are all plugged in properly?

Just look in the documentation for the Compute Module and chassis. You can download them from here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005545/intel-nuc.html and here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005522/intel-nuc.html.

Figure 10 and Table 7 of the Intel NUC 9 Extreme/Pro Kit Technical Product Specification (TPS) details the connectors on the end of the card.
