Intel Wireless-AC 9260 160 MHz card fails to start. Wifi Card Model (9260NGW).I figure there may be a driver conflict, so I uninstall the card from device manager with "delete drivers for this device" and restart. It shows up and works.
Suspend laptop, resume a while later. Intel Wireless AC 9260 in device manager with "device failed to start" and its gone.
Uninstall again, restart. This time it does not work. Then Manually removed the Wireless card and re-fixed and restarted the system. Its work.
Every day facing the same issue. below are the event Viewer logs.
Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9260 : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.
Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9260 : A Required Parameter is missing from the registry.

- Was this WiFi adapter integrated in your laptop by OEM?
- If the answer for the first question is negative, are you aware that this adapter has M.2:PCIe System Interface Type, rather than M.2: CNVio? Is your laptop equipped with PCIe interface?

Did you downloaded the Bluetooth and Wifi drivers from the OEM site? You should do this.

This may be a bug with either Windows, or with the Intel driver - however, I am posting it in the Windows forum because I believe there may be a fault with the way Windows is identifying TellSubway this hardware when multiple Intel drivers have in the past been installed and configuration information remains in the registry.

Hello @AThak20
- You didn't provide any information about your system. (i.e. computer model, Windows 10 version,...). You should ensure that you have Bios updated and that you have Chipset Driver installed.
- You may also try to run Windows Troubleshooter: Open Windows Settings - Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Network Adapter.

Hello @AThak20
- After reading in the MSI site for your laptop, I'm not sure what kind WiFi adapter you have installed (and I'm assuming that this is an original WiFi adapter, you got with your laptop) ? In the MSI site Killer ac Wi-Fi + Bluetooth v5 adapter is specified in your laptop specifications. However in drivers page, you have choice to download Intel WiFi Driver and Killer Wifi Driver as well. I suggest that you should ask MSI, which of the drivers you should install.
- Did you updated the Bios to the version E16Q2IMS.112 , released on 2019-08-23? If not better do it.
- Following the MSI tutorial, you may uninstall the Killer Driver first and then reinstall the Intel Driver. Use the Killer Uninstaller Tool.

So, for your model (478) you have even newer Bios version E16Q4IMS.116. In the zip file you will find detailed instruction how to update Bios.
