So, I am need of this particular NUC model for my client, but it is not available at my local market. I will have to import it from US via Amazon/NewEgg. Will the warranty still be applicable in my home country for an imported unit ? As these units are pretty compact, finding a local technician to repair them in case of any fault, will be difficult for me. Will the local Intel office honor the warranty and issue RMA for repair ?

In this case yes, the warranty will be honored for 3 years from the moment of purchase, as long as you contact your local warranty center.
