I like my i3 but for the brains of a robot that will use the Microsoft Kinnect and other inputs, higher processing power is needed.
I see the various tech sites talking about it but not mentioning availability.
The i5 specs I saw were a little disappointing. I didn't see any that were greater than 2ghz, which the MS Kinnect and other hardware are asking for.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Droidmaker,
Unfortunately, the i7 version of NUC will not be launched. That project got cancelled a few months ago.

Intel
So this isn't true?
http://www.fanlesstech.com/2013/04/i5-and-i7-nuc-on-way.html FanlessTech: i5 and i7 NUC on the way
What's the processor speeds for the i5?
It is half true. The i5 version has launched -
https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/nuc.html https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/nuc.html
The processor speed on that one is 1.8 GHz, using the Intel® Core™ i5-3427U processor.
And there will no longer be an i7 version.
And there will no longer be an i7 version.
... very sad to hear that
really looking forward to the NUC with a frequency greater than 3.0 GHz (in turbo-mode)
