Hello tazzo,
Thank you for waiting for our response.
The codec is supported only when using Intel® Wireless adapters.
Natively supported in Windows* 10 by Microsoft. For Windows* 8 and Windows* 8.1 it requires the Intel addition profiles included as part of the installation package. For Windows* 7 it is not supported.

Hi Abigail, sorry for the late.
Intel NUC NUC8i5BEH has the Intel Wireless-AC 9560 but I am not sure that AptX is enabled, is there a way to check if everything is fine and AptX is actually used?
Thank you

Hello Abigail, I'm using a Windows 10 1903 that support AptX if it's licensed in the drivers distributed by Intel but it's hard for me to understand if the license is there because my headphones don't have a specific led for AptX. Thank you. Leonardo

Hello tazzo,
I would like to gather more information about your wireless headphones, could you please provide me with the model?
This would be in order to check if it supports AptX and check if the option will be shown under the playback device's details.

Hello tazzo,
Thank you very for the response and the information provided.
I was able to check that the headphones in fact support the AptX codec, however, I was not able to find instructions or specific options where you can see the AptX codec working for the headphones. I was able to see that in some cases these features are shown on the headphones properties, following these steps:
- Open Control Panel by doing right-click on the Windows start menu.
- Go to the Hardware and Sound options.
- Click on Sound.
- Double click on the headphones to check the properties.
On some other websites, I was able to see that there was a pop-up that tells you that an AptX device has been plugged.
In this case, I can confirm that the Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i5BEH works with AptX, since the wireless adapter on it supports it and is natively supported in Windows* 10 by Microsoft. If you are not able to confirm if this feature is working, I would recommend you to get in contact with Microsoft* or with the headphones manufacturer for further recommendations or set up steps.

Hello tazzo,
Since we were not able to replicate the inquiry with your set up or something similar, I would recommend you to get in contact with Microsoft* or with the headphones manufacturer in order to get further recommendations on how to get confirmation that the codec is working with your device. As well this thread, other community members will be able to assist in your inquiry.
