I want to leave my NUC in the suspend state and reactivate it with an Infrared signal.

It's possible? How would I have to configure it?

You need to go into BIOS Setup (the Visual BIOS Program) so set this up. Once there. click on Advanced and then Power. Near the bottom of the list of parameters in the Secondary Power Settings window (on the right side of the screen), you will see two parameters related to Consumer Infrared (CIR).

Check (enable) Wake from S3 via CIR if you want to be able to use CIR to wake the system from the Sleep (S3) state.

Check (enable) Wake from S4 and S5 via CIR if you want to be able to use CIR to wake the system from the Hibernate (S4) or Powered Off (S5) states.

Now, in order for this to work, you need to have a compatible CIR controller. The RC6 units work the best. There are some reports floating around regarding XBOX controllers not being able to wake systems from S5.

Hope this helps,
