BIOS 0064 failed on my NUC7i5BNH.
Never had this problem before. Using same method as before (F7 with .bio file on flash drive).
I've done this at least 5 or 6 times in the last year and it always worked, no problem.
I re-downloaded the .bio file 2 more times thinking it may have been corrupted during download.
Still no joy.
Anyone else having a problem with this bios?
Current BIOS is 0063.

After about 5 seconds it just stopped while trying to perform the 1st part of the update.
It then said "Update Failed".
Error message said "FwUpdateFullBuffer" followed by a long binary error code.
I went back into the BIOS and pressed F9 to return all settings to default.
That made no difference. It has failed to apply this update on 5 tries now.
The machine still boots and runs normally on the 0063 BIOS,
I've given up for now unless someone knows of something else I could try.

Sounds like something is corrupted. I suggest that you proceed to install/reinstall BIOS 64 using the Recovery Method. This is documented here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005532.html?wapkw=bios+recovery Intel NUC BIOS Recovery Update Instructions. I recommend the jumper-based method, but you can try the Power Button Menu method first if you wish.
Hope this helps,

Using the power button method, it updated as it should.
I'm now on BIOS 0064.
Thanks very much for your help!

Hi,
for update 0064, where is the usual .exe file, and also why isn't bios version being detected and updated from the IDSA? IDSA is finally working again, but now its not detecting things properly. Using NUC7i7BNHX1 with bios 0063.
Thanks

Hello nuc_it_all
Thank you for joining the community.
Looking into your case I see that you are having troubles to update the BIOS update due to the IDSA is not able to find the .exe file for the BIOS. Allow me to share with you that for the BIOS 0064 update you have the options .bio and .zip, you can see that information on the following link
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27843/BIOS-Update-BNKBL357-86A- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27843/BIOS-Update-BNKBL357-86A-
Also to complete the BIOS update you have the following options:
- F7 BIOS Flash update
- Power button menu update
- UEFI BIOS update
- iFlash BIOS update
- Recovery BIOS update
Please refer to the following link for assistance on the options available
