M.2 Storage for NUC7I7BNHX1

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of buying a NUC7I7BNHX1 but have the following question:

If there is only 1 M.2 slot, and it is taken by the pre-installed 16GB Optane memory, how are we to install a NVME disk? I'd much rather have an NVME disk than a SATA disk.

Sam,

The Optane module is only of value if your boot (and Windows System) device is actually a (spinning media) HDD that the Optane module can accelerate the performance of. If you want your boot/system device to be a super fast NVMe SSD, then you really don't want to pick a model of the NUC that will cost you more because it includes an Optane module, when you will just have to rip out this module to install this SSD. Look for the base model (NUC7i7BNH, or perhaps where you are it's called the NUC7i7BNH1) which should be cheaper...

Hope this helps,

As I thought. I did notice the NUC 8 series does have 2 M.2 ports. Thx
