MMC and SD for Nucs

Why is there no further support for booting ability with from MMC or SD card for the intel Nucs.

This was a great feature with till the 5th gen nucs. Why has Intel decided not to use this procedure anymore, although most of the Nucs, even the 12gen have the ability to make use of a MMC or SD card. Booting my Linux OS's from these card would be much appreciated.

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I understand you are having inquiries about your NUC.

In this case, as you mentioned, Intel® NUC products don't allow you to boot directly from SD cards. There are no plans to add this capability.
