This is the manual Thunderbolt firmware update process that helped me on NUC8i7BEH, perhaps it would be useful for someone else: - Download Intel Thunderbolt Firmware Update Tool - Unpack it to - Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator - cd to - run .\FwUpdate.exe - Follow the instructions After that you can manually update the driver: - Download Intel Thunderbolt 3 DCH Driver - Unpack it to - Manually update drivers for "Thunderbolt Controller - 15D9" from

I do appreciate that you took the time to share with the community the steps that help you perform a manual installation of the Thunderbolt firmware.
