Mounting details for NUC

Jump to solution

I need to mount the NUC to our equipment.

Could I get a CAD file (STP) for the outside case of a NUC?

Alternatively, could I get a 2D drawing for the mounting holes?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

  1. Attache please find image with mounting holes dimension, I've taken from NUC7CJY-Chassis.EASM file.
  2. I'm attaching image with dimensions of Vesa Mount: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006857/mini-pcs/intel-nuc-kits.html . This Mount is attached to NUC with M3 screws. In the table located in the bottom you may find a link to NUC-VESA-Mount.STEP file.

Hope this is what you have asked for.

Leon

Thanks for the quick response. I found the chassis model, but it does not have the mounting holes in the model.

I am guessing from the VESA mount that the holes are 85 mm apart, and maybe M4, but it would be good to have that confirmed somehow.

In this link https://www.intel.sg/content/www/xa/en/support/articles/000006820/mini-pcs.html?language=en_US, below the Board Drawings table, there is table with NUC Kit Drawings. Using proper graphic tool or viewer, you will get all dimensions including mounting holes diameter and distance.

NUC bottom.JPGI looked at the step file and the EPRT file. I can see the model with no problem. The model does not have mounting holes, as you can see from the attached image.

Is there a 2D drawing that gives dimensions for the mounting holes, and the screw size?

Thank you, that's exactly what I am looking for - hole spacing and screw size for mounting to something besides a monitor.

Typically this information is in the data sheet, or at worst the user manual, but unfortunately it requires quite a bit of digging to find.

The NUC mounts onto a VESA plate that is, in turn, mounted to the equipment. See this article: https://www.intel.sg/content/www/xa/en/support/articles/000006857/mini-pcs/intel-nuc-kits.html.
