Hello Maria,
many thanks for this mail! I sent my answer for your first mail not to this site but returned it to the sender of the mail. Please find two results from SSU here. The first had nothing attached to the microphone-jack, the second time a cassette-recorder was playing. The indicator-circles of the voice recorder show a short burst when I turn it on or off.
Hope you find this interesting and looking forward to your analysis

Hello WNagl,
Thank you for patiently waiting.
If you want to install the driver from our site that is just unzipping the driver and search for the setup.exe file.
For Microphone issues please test the following:
Check the microphone's boost level in sound properties:
- Right-click the Speaker icon on the taskbar and select Recording devices.
- Select your microphone device and click Properties.
- Go to the Levels tab.
- Adjust the microphone boost slider to the desired level.
- Click OK twice to close the window.
Make sure the audio device is set as enabled at BIOS level
Check that front panel audio is enabled in BIOS:
- Press F2 during start to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices.
- Enable the Audio setting (check the box).
- Press F10 to save and exit BIOS.
If possible test different MIC, USB or 3.5 jack.
Since you are trying to get assistance with an installation Readme Document found on Realtek.com, this should be referred to Realtek, they may assist you and provide you with the proper steps to install the driver.
Best regards,
Maria R.

Dear Maria,
I have to confess that the cable I used does nor transfer files from the tape recorder to the microphone jack! I detected this when comparing the pins of my cable and the Audio Jack Pin Out. Then a simple 3,5mm Mono/Stereo Adapter solved my problem. I am grateful, that your analysis directed me to this solution! It should have done this before connecting the two!!
