My Hades Canyon NUC needs to be physically disconnected from the PSU following a blackout to work again, how can I fix this?

Following an interruption of power/blackout/power outage from my power utility, my Hades Canyon will not operate again until the PSU cable is pulled from the back of the unit and replugged in.

I want the desktop to run 24/7, so this behaviour is not helpful. This is not an issue with the bios settings (it is set to remember last power on state and it does start the machine immediately when the plug is reinserted if it was running prior)...

How can I fix the system to behave properly following a power outage?

  1. Disconnect the Power Adapter.
  2. Disconnect the CMOS battery and reconnect it after 15 minutes.
  3. Reconnect the Power Adapter and power ON your NUC.
  4. Enter Bios settings and press F9 (Y) to set bios to default settings and then F10 (Y) to save default setting and exit to Windows. Let the NUC fully reboot.
  5. Boot into bios and set your customized settings again.
