Just bought a NUC 11 i7-1185G7 and did a BIOS upgrade to version 0054 this morning.
As per the visual bios, the fan was spinning around ~2500 rpm with a "balanced" cooling profile. Pre-BIOS upgrade it was a lot quieter.
Prior to the upgrade I did not check any BIOS settings. I changed the cooling profile to "quiet". Now the fan spins around ~1650 rpm and it is quiet enough for me.
With a BIOS upgrade is the expectation that a set of default settings are applied and I need to manually reconfigure to what suits me?
Thanks!

It is a good practice, after any BIOS upgrade, to reset the BIOS Configuration and set it up again. Depending upon what changed in the BIOS, it is possible that this had an affect on the BIOS configuration. Resetting ensures that the configuration is exactly what it should be - and what you think it should be.
