Since yesterday my NUC has been shutting off and powering back on about 5-10 seconds later at random. After searching it seems others have had this issue, but after updating the BIOS and the graphics drivers I still have the issue.
I've had the machine since mid-July 2018 and this is the first I've had the issue.
As I wrote this the machine shut itself down twice. After shutting down it pushes me to the Windows 10 login screen. It doesn't lose any of the active programs so it's not a full shutdown and boot up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Perhaps the power options are set to sleep after 15 minutes. These settings are reset when Windows upgrades itself.
Or maybe the power button is failing, it may be stuck and triggering itself intermittently.
Or it could be Windows Updates updating the system and restarting automatically.

I am not certain, but check your sleep settings in the bios. There may be two types of sleep - modern or S3. See which you are using.

Can you explain the difference between modern and S3?
