I am watching the availability of a lot of web shops for a few months now and noticed that it is very hard to get an i5 gen 8 NUC while the 7th gen is still widely available. If I search for it I cannot seem to find an explanation. Does anyone know what’s going on?

Hello TVanE2,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
Regarding your concern, we would like to recommend you to check our Intel® Authorized Distributors and Approved Suppliers for inquiries about availability and where to buy for Intel® NUCs 8th generation and other Intel's products.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/partner/where-to-buy/overview.html
You may also find an Intel Reseller and check product availability using the below link:

As for why it is hard to find Intel® NUCs with Intel® Core™ i5 processors, it is worth mentioning that we do not sell directly so we recommend you to address this inquiry to our Authorized Distributors and Approved Suppliers.
Regards,

Hello Andrew, thanks for the clear answer. I will ask my question to our suppliers. My question here was because maybe someone from the community knew if there was some kind of strategy behind this. Regards, T
