NUC 8th gen low availability

I am watching the availability of a lot of web shops for a few months now and noticed that it is very hard to get an i5 gen 8 NUC while the 7th gen is still widely available. If I search for it I cannot seem to find an explanation. Does anyone know what’s going on?
