I installed Gigabyte NVIDIA 3060 and kept getting blue screen of death. Windows driver installed (for NVIDIA) after mutltiple blue screens. Still no help.
I removed the GPU - computer works fine, though I noted under Device manager it says PCI device and SM Bus controller is under "other devices" with yellow triangle (drivers not found?).
Another interesting observation - Display adapter says "Microsoft Basic Display adapter" rather than I belive what should be Intel UHD Graphis right? did not pay attention what was there before GPU installation and removal (had no reason to do that).
Any suggestions would be appreciated...
Attached system info.
Need to have that 3060 with two HDMI 2.1 outputs for two 8k 60hz TVs attached...

Hello DM,
Thank you for posting on the Intel
- Was it working before?
- Have you reported this issue to NVIDIA?
- Have you tested the graphics card in another system?
- Error code of the BSOD.
- Error code on device manager under the PCI device.

I bought both - GPU and the NUC new. NUC worked perfectly before installing GPU. Never tried GPU on another desktop (as it was new).
Reported to NVIDIA - they sent me tools to completely uninstall the Drivers (by their cleanup tools) and reinstall the hot fix driver. Did that - the moment I installed GPU physically there - I keep getting the BSOD. Computer loads fine, but freezes up and blue screen in the first 1-2 minutes.
Error Code was WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
On device manager - interesting part about Display adapter is that it does not list Intel UHD display, says microsoft Basic display adapter

Hello DM,
In this case, please try to test the graphics card in another system and see if the issue persists.
Regarding the errors on device manager, please make sure to have the latest chipset drivers installed for your Intel® NUC, you can find them at the following link:
For the graphics driver, since you are using the NVIDIA card, drivers for the integrated will not be necessary due to all the graphics tasks going to the discrete graphics card, however, if you want to install the latest drivers for the integrated card please download them from the following link.
